The Cheese Steak Shop has moved to another location but still in Makati. Below is their new address: 140 Amorsolo Street , Legaspi Village, Makati City Tel. no.: 555-1818 and 555-0235 Store hours: Mondays - Sundays 10:00am to 10:00pm They also have a new branch at the Fort Strip! And yes, you read it right ! They are now on the go because of their new Food truck sharing the love for the infamous original Philly Cheese steak sandwich. Yum! It's been a long time since my last post. I got the chance to buy few vouchers once again. This time for a nostalgic dinner buffet with a cultural show at Barbara's located in Intramuros. I brought with me my aunties who will surely enjoy such dinner. The facade of the old building remind me of an old movie scene where Filipinos dressed in Barong Tagalog and in the regal Baro't Saya   and attends a party during Spanish regime. Each corner of the establishment was well-preserved. From the stone brick floors to the Narra staircase, antique chandeliers and even the interiors of the restaurant. It feels like you traveled back in time. The dinner started at 7PM. My vouchers for Sweet Pea (A Chef's kitchen) are about to expire. We have reserved it over the weekend as part of my sister's post birthday dinner. It was our first time to visit this quiant restaurant in Venice Piazza, McKinley hill, Taguig city. Sweet Pea serves mostly American comfort food. They have an array of appetizers and main dishes that will surely give you a *burp*. Taste - testing...  Hawaiian Potato salad (P 150.00) Your all-time favorite potato salad married with sweet pineapple tidbits. Their version has enough mayo dressing to coat each potato chunks. Topped with grated cheese and bacon bits, the savory taste of the salad compliments the sweet bite of the pineapple. Pichi-pichi is one of the many Pinoy delicacies. It is made from ground cassava, water and sugar; steamed until transluscent and topped with either cheese or grated coconut. my sister with Arny-Dading's peachy-peachy cheeeessyy!!! peachy-peachy We passed through Mindanao ave. extension and turned to Congressional ave., our driver told us that there is a place were many motorists drop by to buy pichi-pichi. :) We bought a styro pack with 10 pcs of pichi-pichi to give it a try. Well, the 60-peso snack was worth it! LOTS of cheese topping!!! and i mean lots of it!! haha ( compared to other sellers of pichi-pichi ) I have eaten lots of version of pichi-pichi. Arny-Dading's tastes like those from Amber's but less sweeter. Maybe they added some lye to it having the pichi-pichi taste like C uchinta (another kind of rice cake). Vouchers anyone?! We all have this barat attitude inside us. Nowadays, haggling has the trend; stretching your budget up to the last peso is a WIN! I admit, buying vouchers IS addictive. :) I had a chance to get some vouchers at Deal Grocer for The Cheese Steak Shop 's original Philly cheesesteak sandwich. Many said that huge discounts and buying something like this was too good to be true... I am adventurous anyway so I gave it a shot.  <><><><><>   <><><><><> This is a STEAL!!! <><><><><>  It is my first time having Philly cheesesteak sandwich and it is  REALLY habit forming (the tag line of the shop)! The meat was soft and oozing with cheese. The 10-inch long sandwich is even good for sharing :) I bought 2 vouchers : exchanged it to a chicken and a beef version sorry, manage take picture of the ends of the sandwich, haha... lots of jalapenos on top!
